Beatmask - Global Game Jam 2026

Beatmask is a fun rhythm game inspired by the concept of "bit masks" coupled with the thrilling experience of flowing with the rhythm of some sick beats. 

Try your luck against our most exquisite selection of dungeon-folk - they can be quite square-headed if you know what I mean.  Be sure to descent further into the dungeon to see all enemies and encounter the mighty and mysterious final boss - "The Pill"!

Tutorial

We designed the playing experience around mouse and keyboard though you should also be fine with just a mouse as well. Clicking the left mouse button is your all purpose "accept" input. So if you don't now what to do, try clicking the left mouse button. 

1. Entering a door

We thought that every good dungeon delve has to start with you entering a door. Throughout your descent you will have to pass a lot of doors, open chests and generally click on things to move along.

2. Combat

In combat your task is to drag a card onto the battlefield and drop it just as the bar hits - or just when the battlefield turns yellow.

Cheats:

Since this game was made in the short timespan of 72 hours we are quite aware of the fact that combat, pacing and attacks are all very unbalanced. This is why we added a cheat to help you battle our mistakes more effectively. So when you find yourself in the utmost of troubles, press shift + H to gain +5 Health.
